Per the Constitution, this committee of five is made up of the 1st Vice President, a Past President, and three members of MCMA who have not served as officers. Committee is also responsible for selecting the annual winner of the Dr. Robert A. Barrett Management Achievement Award.

3. Professional Development
Creates opportunities in the area of professional development and training. Per the Constitution, this Committee is chaired by the 2nd Vice President. In recent years, the Committee's main activity has been to plan the Mid-Winter Professional Development Seminar. Committee may take on responsibility for working with academic institutions to develop Executive Development seminars and programs.

4. Annual Conference
Works with the Government Training Service to plan the Spring Annual Conference.

Committee will also work on programs of mentorship for those currently serving in assistant positions, especially for those interested in becoming managers.

8. Civic Engagement
Works to expand opportunities for active citizen involvement in local government issues.
